The Plan #1 😌

Hey lovelies! This post is going to be all about the plan and the steps we'll have to go through to get to Los Angeles! This is just the way that we're doing things, not saying it's right or wrong but it's our way!

Saving // This started as soon as we decided that we were going to move. It's only small savings at the start but every little bit helps. We'll be upping the savings in the next few months.

Pick A Date // We wanted to pick a date where flights ain't that dear and where the weather isn't too hot so we can climatise to the heat. We have currently picked 16th of March 2018.

Visas // We will be applying for VISAS as soon as possible in the next year depending on what type of visas we're going for. We'll be going for the Lottery and then the Migration Visa - which is based on an interview in the U.S. embassy.
• We know that it can be hard to get one so hence why we're applying as soon as possible •

Telling Parents // Some of the girls need to tell their parents and family which is a main part but everyone is 18+ so they can make up their own decisions and it's a once in a life time opportunity.

Areas // We are going to do research on each of the different areas around Los Angeles so we can pick the best part to live in. We're not fussy for the first year or two as we just want to be able to stand on our two feet without being in debt.

Costs ( Once Off ) // First we going to look at the once off costs which includes - flights over to the U.S., Visas, Shipping Costs, Mortage Payment Upfront or Rent Deposit and Furniture & Electronics.

Costs ( Reccuring ) // These are costs which are going to be happening all the time which includes - Bills, Rent or Mortage, Food, Petrol/Diseal and whatever else!

Flight Prices // We are currently looking at flights between March to May as they seem to be the cheapest. These flights will be checked every week from the following - Dublin, Bristol, London Gatwick, London Heatrow and Glasgow. We are keeping an eye on SkyScanner for the flights.

Housing Market // We need to keep an eye on the housing market as it's going up and down the whole time over in the U.S.  We need a big enough house but we're only looking for a 4 bedroom so it'll be 4 people per room.

Once Visa's Are Approved // Once our visa's are approved we can get down to work on booking flights, sorting out accommodation, shipping and all that. No point in doing that all until we get our visa's.

Meet Ups // We'll also be planning a good few meet ups so everyone can get to know everyone properly and plan more in person. This is hard since 6 of us are in the UK and the other 2 are in Ireland.

House // Once we have the house picked and know what we're getting, we'll be sorting out the house bedrooms, decorating it, rules and much more. This is something that everyone has to agree on and everyone needs to be happy with everything.

This is literally just Part One of The Plan, I'm sure there will be more posts in the future.

Let us know in the comments below if you've ever done a big move like this? Or would you like too?
